Dear Patient,

On the following pages we would like to inform you about the MRI and MR-Spectroscopy of prostate gland offered at our institute.↵

The Prostate is similar in shape and size of a Chestnut. It surrounds the Bladder base and the first portion of the Urethra. The Prostate is divided into a central and a peripheral portion Gland. These Zones can be place of different Diseases. Modern Imaging Techniques in our Institute are clearly superior to other Methods of Investigation and can help you quickly find the Right Diagnosis your Doctor. An Investigation Procedures we offer Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) of the Prostate with functional Diagnostics (Spectroscopy, Diffusion, Contrast Enhancement) and the targeted Biopsy, which we perform using Interventional MRI Procedures.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a method which does not use X-Rays. Rather, it uses Magnetic Fields to produce Images of the Body's interior. For many Years, regular Prostate MRI guided Biopsies are performed in our Clinical Routine.
