1.1 Historical step in the field of radiology in Frankfurt
Professor Dr. med. Thomas J. Vogl took over the office of Director of Institute for Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology at the University Hospital in Frankfurt in 1999.

The objective of the Clinic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine is to provide our patients with radiological service of highest standards, according to newest criteria in terms of radiation protection and quality assurance.
The combined efforts of resident radiologists, consultant radiologists, senior consultant radiologists and Professors as well as visiting doctors from various countries help us make it possible to keep our competence at highest standards.
Of prime importance is the constant exchange of ideas and experiences with our colleagues, continuous medical education of high quality and quick adaptation to latest scientific developments.
With a defined team structure we are able to provided a stable high quality patient care even at times of increased work load.
The resident radiologists, consultant radiologists, senior consultant radiologists and Professors of the Clinic work with the objective of further developing the Clinic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine based on interventional cooperation with colleagues and institutions, clinics of various specialities.
