Ultrasonography

With the help of ultrasound examination of the abdomen the physician is able to tell if there is a liver disease and if yes, in which part of the organ is it located. Special methods in ultrasound like colour-coded doppler sonography or contrast enhanced sonography can in some cases provide additional information. The ultrasound examination is a pain free process and can be repeated as many times as required without exposing the patient to the hazards of radiation.
