Dual-Source Computer-Aided-Tomography (CAT-Scan).

With the acquisition of Somatom Definition from Siemens Medical Systems, which is in the market since the middle of 2006, we are one of the first few centres in Germany using the Dual-Source-Technology on a routine basis.


The field of cardiac diagnosis has taken a giant leap forward with the development of this technology. The benefits of this new generation CT are not limited to patients whose cardiac function are to be evaluated. Accidents victims for whom time is of critical importance, it is possible to examine the whole body, from head to toe, in a matter of seconds so that the correct treatment can be done. From the scientific point of view, it allows one to study the organs in two different energy levels, especially in the fields of cancer and vascular diagnosis.
