Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

This computer-assisted radiation-free method offers a simple and detailed diagnoses of all the body parts and organs. Due to absence of radiation the method is especially suitable for children. Patients with metal-implantation and prosthesis are contraindicated for the method except under special circumstances. Patient with cardiac pacemaker is an absolute contraindication.

All MRI-Machines in our department are equipped with TIM (Total Imaging Matrix) technology.

TIM

With our MRI machines it is possible for the first time in history to visualize the whole body with high resolution. The images are of the same quality like that of any other MRI examination. Corresponding important sequences can be performed at the region of interest without having the patient to change his position or changing the coils.
TIM
The principle behind this is the revolutionary coil-concept TIM - Total Imaging Matrix..
Multiple body coils which are ideally seated on the body receive the signals effectively. These coils can be activated together to give high resolution images. The resulting images can be combined together as a total body image.
